CANSES is pleased to announce our 3rd Annual Workshop!
Join us in Québec City for our 3rd Annual Workshop!

When: Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16, 2026.
Where: Travelodge by Wyndham Hotel & Convention Centre, Québec City, Québec.
- Attendees are eligible for discounted room rates at the conference venue (Travelodge by Wyndham) on a first-come, first-served basis. This discount will expire on September 14.
The workshop is free for CANSES members. If you are not yet a member, you can sign up below:
CANSES is offering travel funding to a small number of workshop attendees, with preference given to Early Career Researchers. Please complete the workshop travel funding application form by September 10, 2026.
Programming will run from ~9:00am to 5:00pm on both days, with mornings reserved for presentations and afternoons featuring interactive sessions and small group discussions. A draft agenda will be released in early September.
To attend in person, please register by September 23. In-person attendees will have access to the full program, while remote attendance via Zoom will be available for most sessions.

Emerging Threat Landscape

Date: June 22-23, 2026
Location: Saywell Hall, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia
This hybrid workshop featured short presentations on salient issues that have been identified by network stakeholders and provide ample opportunities for discussion. The goals of this workshop are two-fold:
- To leverage expertise across the network to identify and discuss what we collectively feel are emerging or escalating extremist concerns; and
- To help CANSES establish our research and funding priorities for the next fiscal year.
